Canon Digital Rebel SLR 12.2 Megapixel XSi

Canon SLR

2008′s most popular SLR, the Canon Digital Rebel XSi 12.2 MP Digital SLR Camera with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens has been at the top of Amazon.com’s best seller list for many months. And with good reason. This camera is a perfect example of why Canon is the front runner when it comes to SLR photography. I simply love them!

Let’s take a look at some of the features. This SLR has 12.2 megapixels which is enough to take photos for posters or large photographs. The output is very professional.

We also have a 3 inch screen which means you can view the photos right after you take them in pretty good quality. You will be able to see shadows and light rays and you will be able to check whether the photo is overexposed or not. This is a handy feature as it means you know right away whether you need to re-shoot the photo.

The CMOS sensor and DIGIC III image processor means the photos will be clear and have excellent tones and visible clarity. This feature produces what I call warm and cuddly photos – they are pleasant to look at and extremely professional looking.

The 4 time optical zoom is not a feature I use often but it has an excellent image stabilizer built in so I can shoot while moving and not worry about fuzzy photos.

The features of this camera could go on to forever and it is not for the beginner. I would recommend this camera to anyone who has 5+ years of photography experience and is looking for a camera with more power and more modern features.
